Experience the thrill of a lifetime and raise money for disabled children and young people by doing a tandem parachute jump.
Just imagine standing at the door of a plane at 10,000 feet - that's nearly two miles high! You're nervous, the wind is roaring in your ears, and you jump! Last year 25 brave people took the plunge for Out & About and raised over £6,500 by taking part in a tandem skydive.
Hayley Steward, who took part last year, says it's a totally exhilarating experience,
"It's a real adrenalin rush and then calmness and peace takes over once the chute has opened! The very professional instructors made it an amazing experience. This is not something I would have chosen to do without a good cause in mind and it's great knowing the money I raised will help disabled children and young people to become included in everyday activities that they may otherwise not be able to do.”
Out & About is searching for 50 new skydivers in 2010 to double the amount raised last year.
Where: Beccles Airfield, Beccles, Suffolk.
When: Saturday 15th May 2010.
Cost: FREE if you raise £300 in sponsorship. (£200 will pay for your jump and any money raised over that will come directly to Out & About.
