If you are a UK tax payer, you might like to know about some of the tax deduction systems that can help your donation go further:
Payroll Giving
Giving a regular donation via your payroll is one of the easiest ways you can donate to Out & About without making too big a dent in your bank balance.
Payroll giving is a form of tax relief. When you receive your wages, income tax is automatically taken off. However, if you decide that you want to make a donation to Out & About via your payroll, then the donation comes out of your wages before you get taxed, making it worth a lot more to us.
Getting started is easy. Talk to whoever pays your salary (eg: Finance dept) to find out if your employer already has a payroll giving scheme in place. If they do, tell them you would like to make a monthly donation to Out & About, charity number 1068896.
Gift Aid
Giftaid is a great way of boosting your donation, at no extra cost to you. Every £1 you donate to Out & About could be worth an extra 28p to us... and all you have to do is tick a box.
Giftaid is a form of tax relief. When you receive your wages, the income tax is automatically taken off. However, if you decide that you want to make a donation to Out & About then we can claim that income tax back from HM Revenue and Customs with no extra cost or extra hassle to you.
You must be a UK taxpayer to claim giftaid and all we ask is that you tick a box to tell us that you are. Look out for the gift aid box when donating online via the website or via our "Make a Difference" leaflet. Once you've ticked the box, we do the rest and you could soon be boosting your donations by an extra 28p per £1.
Legacies
Leaving a legacy is one of the most tax-efficient ways to donate.
