Out & About has unanimously been selected by colleagues from Sainsburys Warren Heath in Ipswich to be their Local Charity of the Year. Kevin Bayles, Store Manager, says,
“We are really pleased and excited to support Out & About. The hard work starts now, but I can definitely see our store building a strong relationship with Out & About and making a difference to their work. Colleagues have pledged to work with Out & About through fundraising and volunteering throughout the year to make a positive difference to their community."
Steve Allman, Chief Executive of Out & About says,
“Out & About is looking forward to working with our colleagues from Sainsburys Warren Heath over the next year. Sainsburys have taken the time to really understand how the work of Out & About impacts on the local community and have already provided various opportunities for disabled young people to support their exciting fundraising plans.”
The fundraising team from Out & About and colleagues from Sainsburys are working closely together to plan a programme of fundraising events culminating in a Sunrise Walk in May 2010.
